What Do You Think Of WriterBB?

I need some reviews on my forum; http://www.writerbb.info/

I need to know how I can improve it to make it a more user friendly forum that members can join and want to join. I would also like some ideas on where I can promote this genre of forum to find some decent, active member.

What I can say from the start is that you need more content. There's a forum starters program here, maybe you can get into it with the forums. Looking good otherwise. Best of luck

Thanks. Activity is kind of slow but I have had a lot of problems with hosting in the two months we have been open. I will try and get into this 'forum start' idea as it seems good.

I like the idea, and the layout. I also like the fact it is a small forum with just a few categories which makes it easier to read, and to find what we are looking for. The option to hide the forums we are not interested in is great, and I have to say every time I see a forum with it I already think it is a good forum .

However, when I checked the posts I found out they are hard to read. Everything seems to be mixed up. From the top you have a member/user avatar + a sign member/administrator which in my opinion is just too big. You could make it smaller and maybe place it under the avatar not next to it. Then you have a space for the text which is unfortunately with the dark blue background, and then right under it a signature space. It all mixes together for me, and like I said before, It makes it harder to read the forum.

Apart from that It's a good forum - I like forums about writing

Thanks for the comments. The theme is our main issue at the moment. We are looking in to building up enough money to buy a better one which I have in mind.

The main real issue I have is getting it active because I can not really find a lot of writers on forums who want to join up.

I clicked on your link and saw that you have taken the site down. I was looking forward to reviewing this site for you. It sounded interesting based on everyone's comments. If you put it back up, let me know.
